Child Play Therapy

Education consultant

Supporting children and families with therapeutic play.

What is Play Therapy?

Play is the natural way children communicate, how they explore their feelings and emotions, and make sense of the world around them. When we meet a child in their play world, we begin to speak their language. Play therapy is empowering and uses play and therapeutic approaches to promote healing. When clients enter the play room the child is met with complete acceptance for who they are. The main components of play therapy facilitates communication, fosters emotional wellness, enhances social relationships, and increases personal strengths. Your child’s journey in play therapy can make positive impacts in their daily lives.

Our approach

We use evidence based play therapy approaches to help your child work through their social, emotional and behavioural challenges. We also support parents and carers to form or build upon parent and child bonds, attachment and understandings. With a goal to empower children, parents and the family as a whole. We have a community approach and work with educators and teachers to promote therapeutic practices with children within the education sector, and run regular workshops and information sessions for small or large groups.
